Hmmm. To calculate what # todays's Quarantine Diary is, I ask the internet how many days it’s been since March 13, 2020.

Yesterday it told me #645. Today (a different site) said #647.

The days DO seem longer, don’t they?

(One decorates for October birthdays with orange trees.)

Last week was my birthday. My niece Susan sometimes sends me birthday greetings where she asks excellent questions. She doesn’t know I still have the card she sent six years ago; I meant to answer her questions in the blog I had then, but I never got around to it.

This week we Zoom-celebrated (zoom-abrated?) the first birthday of our grandson. This was a very different kind of party in our family which ALWAYS celebrates kid’s birthdays. We always have over a few too many friends and relatives. We always have a mound of presents the kids doesn’t actually need. We always have appetizers and pizza, an activity for kids, and a cake.
