Are you a small (not chain) shop or at-home business or craft person? Would you like to advertise your product or event? Would you like to offer public congratulations to a friend or relative?

Would you like to do this for $12 a month!!??

We are not connected to any blog hosting or website service; it’s just Len the Drupal wizard and MB the Writer here. We think we can use our independence to give you a modest way to market your side-hustle or give a cheerful shout-out to pals and family.

This is how:  Fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Include your name and email plus less than 15 words that you'd like to include in your ad.  I'll get back to you ASAP with a sample ad.  If you'd like to include a small photo, let me know and I'll send you information about how you can get your pix to me. Your ad that will run on the right side of every page of my website for a month.

We reserve the right to say no to iffy stuff or to companies big enough to buy their advertising in the regular places.

Cost is $12 per month. $2 will go to Women’s Funding Network at http://www.womensfundingnetwork.org/ Causes may change occasionally.

Things to consider: Don’t include the faces of people who aren’t aware they will be in an ad. Side views are safest, especially for children. Don’t take random photos from the internet; use your own.  We will often use background hues in the boxes- do you have a fav color? We plan to email a sample ad for you to peruse BEFORE it’s posted. If you are interested but unsure, communicate with us.

We will set up a credit card/ PayPal account when/if this takes off.  For the moment, email to me and I will give you my PO address to which to send a check or money order.

Quarantine Diary #350 A Petition to Sign & a Pink Frog

I have now had both Covid vaccinations with no miserable side effects after either of them. Color me grateful.

I read recently that some people with long-haul symptoms are finding surprising relief after receiving the first vaccination. Have you heard this? I hope it’s true.

Living through this Covid pandemic; waiting for scientists and politicians to find a vaccine and then get it to us - this has been walking on water WHILE looking for a miracle. What we needed yesterday is what we are trying to figure out today.

Two Books & One Movie / Reviews by Me 2/24/2021

Go ahead, ask me what I’ve been doing lately…

The movie we watched is Nomadland directed by Chloe Zhao.

In 2018 I wrote this review of Nomadland by Jessica Bruder. (Read here) The book is nonfiction and was so powerful that two years later, it still affects how I think about being old in our nation.

Disaster Prep - Find Your Pack

The disaster unfolding in Texas right now is on my mind. How about yours?

On Twitter I saw several lists of where to donate to organizations. When I finish this post, I will donate to Austen Urban League - https://aaul.org/

Stress & Violence

I have been reading about the people who attacked our nation’s capital on January 6th.

These two articles are good.  From The Atlantic (Read here )  and from The Lowdown, a blog by Jonathon Low  (Read here)
